What Is Vuze For Mac Windows 10

My kids clicked installed an app called Vuze (since deleted using CleanMyMac), which hijacked my Safari browser. I've deleted the Safari extension Vuze installed, deleted the plist file, and restarted Safari multiple times.

The issue is, the homepage in Preferences > General is still set as 'http://imp.vuzemc.com/impression.do?source=809730&sub_id=20170911&ip=68.175.93.2 25&user_id=1609D4CA-2315-489C-A88B-E4530…'

Try as I might, I cannot reset the homepage. It won't save. I then found a link saying I needed to set the permissions of com.Apple.Safari.plist to 777 (currently showing as 600). It sounded like the same issue, and said SOLVED.

The problem is, whether I use Terminal (CHMOD) or my ftp app, Transmit, the 777 won't stick. I noticed something odd in Transmit. Every time I apply the preferences, a few moments later, an additional, temporary Safari.plist file appears and sets the permissions back to 600.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get rid of this annoying malware hijack and get my homepage back (and any other little scripts/scourges operating on my system?

Oh, and I've scanned/deleted a couple things that sounded unrelated using MalwareBytes as well. Didn't help in this particular case.
