You can try using the MIT SpeechRecognizer using this code. It uses a StayAwake routine to inhibit the device screen from going to sleep. There are no Buttons. Install an SDK for App Engine. The instructions for setting up your computer differ by App Engine environment, either the standard environment or the flexible environment.
